Bose eventually released the long wait ANC TWS earbuds, could they be the gold standard for active noise cancellation? Take a look at head to head comparison between Sony WF-1000XM3 Vs. Bose QuietComfort Earbuds, which one is better?
Frankly ANC accommodates/requires a lot of hardware that making TWS larger than average size of TWS. It’s very interesting that we found two pair that have quite similar look and the same weight to compare – sound, ANC performance and fit and I have to admit they both look absurdly large.
Bose QC Earbuds are the top ANC performer with ambient sound mode, their sound is great too, but it has to sacrifice the size – but they are still comfortable to wear, have solid Bluetooth connection, 6 hours of battery and wireless charging case. IPX4 and sidetone feature are pros for calls and sports.

At the time of writing, the Sony WF-1000XM3 cost just $168.00, while Bose QuietComfort Earbuds charges $279.00. You get the first better for the value.
Winner: Sony WF-1000XM3
Both charging cases are less portable than AirPods Pro. They are too big to stuff into your pockets.
Fit and Comfort
Size really matters but Bose manages to fit more securely with StayHear Max tips.
Winner: Bose QuietComfort Earbuds.
Both are a bit bulky and heavy, Bose appears more sporty with wing tips, but Sony shows off their unique design.
Active Noise Cancellation
Bose proves that ANC TWS earbuds can be literally as effective as full-size ANC headphones as company claimed Bose QuietComfort Earbuds have the Bose 700’s ANC performance. You can toggle between 10 levels of noise canceling that Bose offer and the most effective level you will experience true NC in the real world. Sony somewhat is less effective technically but because the Sony WF-1000XM3 seal in the ear their combination of physical isolation and NC would be comparable to Bose QC Earbuds.
Winner: Bose QuietComfort Earbuds.
While WF-100XM3 boosts clean, punchy bass which is comparable to Bose’s, but they did better job for treble which is more pleasant to listen to while maintain bright and exciting.
Winner: Sony WF-1000XM3.
Which One Is Better?
If I have to decide to buy which pair with my own money it would be Sony WF-1000XM3 – they do sound good the ANC is still effectively functional and they are much cheaper than the new released Bose.
