Shure Anonic 215 – true wireless earphones

Shure SE215 have been my favorite set of earbuds for a long time for its great sound.

Shure, a well-known audio band for high-end in ear monitors just showed off their first true wireless modules at CES2020. The module in combination with Shure S215 get a new name, the Aonic 215. So you wear the Aonic 215 over ear just like Shure S215.

The true wireless module supports, Bluetooth 5.0, supports aptX, AAC and SBC encoding.

Between charges the module gets 8 hours of battery life, the charging case provide more 32 hours of listening time.

The NRR (noise reduction rate) of Aonic 215 is comparable to Shure SE215’s, and Shure markets it as noise isolating earphones. It also has a companinon app, the ShurePlus™ PLAY where you can do some customization and connection stuff.

FiiO UTWS1 true wireless modules are sold separately and a set of KZ E10 are just a few true debut with MMCX connectors. But the Aonic 215 appears to be the complete set of true wireless earbuds with MMCX because the Bluetooth module needs to be configured accordance with the earpiece’s sound.

Aonic 215 will be available on Shure website soon, retails for $279 and it comes with 4 colors, transparent, black, blue and white.

Shure SE215 can upgrade to TWS experience by the module so called true wireless secure fit adapter that is actually the TWS module of Aonic 215.
