Bluetooth 5.0 True Wireless Earbuds – Dynamic Vs. Balanced Armature

Apple Airpods, SamSung Buds, Jabra Elite 65t and Powerbeats Pro are top true wireless earbuds on the market for now.

But they all are using the dynamic driver.

The dynamic driver gives the sound more energy because it pushes and vibrates air to deliver the sound.

The Balanced Armature doesn’t work in the same principle as dynamic.

Mifo offers both types of driver for you to choose for your true wireless earbuds.

Dynamic models have more bass – BA models have more clarity and detail.

Mifo TWS O5 has a cool looking with metal polishing on the back of earbuds. The design is quite unique – I haven’t seen others having the same look yet and I like it. They are a bit smaller than Jabra Elite 65t (as indicated on their product page – 22.53 x 22.53 x 16.8 mm)

Quick specs

  • Bluetooth 5.0
  • Dynamic or BA driver models (which is more expensive)
  • Waterproofing
  • 7 hours of battery life (it will be less – frankly around 6 hours)
  • Quick-charging: 10 minutes of charging equal 1 hours of listening

Supported by Bluetooth 5.0 the pairing is quite simple once you take earbuds out of the case, it automatically turned on – for Android phone it a notification will pop on the screen to ask for pairing. That’s all.

The connectivity is not perfect yet – if you are in areas where a lot of wireless signals overlap the connection will drop for a second or more.

On the earbuds there are physical buttons to adjust the volume and taking calls – but those buttons are tiny – it would be a hit or miss when handling it.

With $80 price tag for Mifo dynamic driver TWS, you can buy Anker Liberty Air (with the same concept design of Airpods), and the BA driver model is $10 more expensive.
